I joined UNIST in February 2010. My areas of research interest include: coordination chemistry, metal-organic frameworks, crystal engineering, energy materials, and catalysts.
Prior to joining UNIST, I worked in hydrogen storage research at the Molecular Foundry of the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in USA. I have PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Seoul National University in Korea at 2007, and B.S. in Chemistry from Ewha Womans University at 2001.
Research Summary
Moon Group, the Functional Inorganic Nanomaterials for Energy (FINE) lab, is interested in development of nano structured materials for "saving our Earth" such as hydrogen storage materials, carbon capture materials, and fuel cell catalysts. For that, the group is focused on synthesis of functional coordination compounds (metal-organic frameworks), nanoporous metal oxides, and organic-inorganic hybrid materials.



우리 연구실은 배위결합에 기반한 다양한 유무기하이브리드 물질에 대해 연구하고 있다. 특히 금속-유기 골격체를 이용한 응용성 연구와 함께 최근에는 금속-유기 골격체를 전구체로 사용하여 다양한 금속 재료 및 다공성 탄소 재료를 합성하는 연구에 집중하고 있다. 합성된 물질은 환경 및 에너지 관련 재료 및 촉매로 그 응용의 폭을 넓히고 있다.
