2014 Faculty Positions Available

Department of Chemistry at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), in conjunction with the School of Natural Sciences and the School of Nano-Bioscience and Chemical Engineering, invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. These positions are part of a significant expansion of both basic science and chemistry at UNIST, a leading research university in Korea.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have research interests in the broad area of chemistry, with a focus on organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, materials chemistry, nanochemistry, and chemical biology/biochemistry, bio-related chemistry and materials. Excellent applicants from outside of these fields also can apply. Successful applicants are expected to have or to develop an original, vigorous, extramurally funded research program that involves dynamic interdisciplinary collaborations, while participating in effective and engaging teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Expected start date is Mar, 2014. Start date can be negotiable if necessary.
