연구내용

막단백질(membrane proteins)은 세포 신호전달, 면역반응, 대사물질 수송 등 생명 현상의 중추적인 역할을 담당하며, 시판 약물의 약 60%가 이를 표적으로 할 만큼 중요합니다. 우리 연구실은 단일분자 기술(single-molecule techniques)과 분자동역학 시뮬레이션(MD simulations)을 결합하여 막단백질의 복잡한 구조 동역학을 규명하는 연구를 수행합니다. 특히 막단백질의 접힘 기전과 분자 간 상호작용 원리를 근본적으로 이해함으로써, 차세대 신약 개발을 위한 핵심적인 토대를 마련하는 데 주력하고 있습니다.
